Jane's Biscuits

Makes 25 small biscuits

Ingredients

​

2oz caster sugar

4oz butter

6oz flour

​

Method

​

Preheat your oven to 180ºC.

​

Sift the flour into a bowl and add in the sugar. Add the butter and rub mixture together and knead gently.

​

You can either roll out to 1/4in thick and cut into rounds with a cutter or you can roll into balls, flatten slightly to a 1/4in thick.

Arrange on a baking tray covered in grease proof paper.

​

Bake for 10-15 minutes or until pale brown.

Remove and cool on a rack.

​

If you want to make these a little fancy, then add strawberries and cream and dust in icing sugar.
